The Midwest captured me because it's the most underrated travel region in America. People fly over it to get to the coasts, never realizing what they're missing — world-class food scenes, incredible architecture, affordable cities with real character.
I've explored 40+ countries, but some of my best travel memories are from the heartland — watching the sun set over the Gateway Arch, eating my way through Chicago's neighborhoods, catching a baseball game in Cincinnati.
